Lonart x 24

Each Lonart tablet contains fixed doses of artemether and lumefantrine, two antimalarial agents that work together to rapidly kill malaria parasites in the blood and reduce the chance of resistance. The Lonart x 24 pack is typically designed for weight‑based dosing over six doses in three days, providing a complete treatment course for uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria when used as directed.

• Rapidly relieves malaria symptoms such as fever, chills, headache and body pains as parasite levels fall.

• Fixed‑dose artemether–lumefantrine combination recommended by treatment guidelines for uncomplicated falciparum malaria.

• Doses are taken with fatty food or milk to improve lumefantrine absorption and ensure effective blood levels.

• Common side effects can include loss of appetite, nausea, abdominal pain, headache and dizziness; any severe reactions or persistent vomiting need urgent medical review.

Patients must complete all 24 tablets according to the prescribed schedule, even after feeling better, to fully clear the infection and reduce the risk of treatment failure or resistance. Lonart should not be used for prevention, in severe malaria or without professional advice in pregnancy, very young children or people taking interacting medicines (for example some heart or antiretroviral drugs)
