Duosopt® Eye Drops – Santen Pharmaceutical
Duosopt® Eye Drops is a combination ophthalmic medication containing dorzolamide and timolol, used to lower elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Dorzolamide reduces fluid production in the eye, while timolol, a beta-blocker, further decreases intraocular pressure, protecting the optic nerve from damage.
Key Benefits:
- Effectively reduces elevated intraocular pressure
- Dual-action formula for better glaucoma management
- Helps prevent optic nerve damage associated with glaucoma
- Supports long-term eye health under medical supervision
- Convenient drop formulation for targeted therapy
Directions for Use:
Instill the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s) as directed by your healthcare professional, usually twice daily. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place below 25–30°C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
Important Information:
Use only under medical supervision. Not suitable for patients with certain heart or respiratory conditions due to the beta-blocker component. Possible side effects include eye irritation, stinging, or blurred vision. Consult your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.
